When washing your hair rinse your bundles under warm water and run your fingers through the hair. To prevent tangling keep the band at the top of the bundle on. Finally, lay out the hair to air dry.
Seal your wefts before you install. When sewing on extensions thread around the weft and not through the weft. Do not split or cut the weft as this will increase shedding, instead, fold your tracks over. This approach would maintain the integrity of the hair and make your re-installation much easier.
We suggest you co-wash or wash your hair weekly with sulfate free conditioner or shampoo. To maintain softness and manageability use water-based moisturizing products. To prevent dryness apply argan or coconut oil, please refrain from using alcohol-based styling products as alcohol can often dry the hair and promote tangling.
It is essential to always use a heat protectant. Just about everyone uses heat appliances on their hair, whether it’s a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron, they all have one thing in common, they damage your hair. If you want to make your extensions last, your best bet is to use a heat protectant.
GOING TO BED
Before going to bed tie up your tresses at night or sleep in a silk/satin bonnet. These simple steps will prevent breakage and keep your locks looking great for a long period.
CARING FOR YOUR CURLS
Curly hair extensions are high maintenance, without proper detangling, it will tangle as it is tightly coiled hair. To detangle the hair, use water and conditioner wet hair thoroughly and run your fingers gently through the hair. We recommend that you wet and moisturize the hair daily if necessary. To define the curls use a good amount of curl defining cream then run your fingers gently through the hair.
We recommend consulting a professional should you wish to dye, bleach, relax or perm our Virgin Hair. Chemical treatments can alter the original hair’s texture and pattern, be sure to test a small selection of strands prior to commencing the full treatment.
